Challenges, and HOPE, for the days ahead

I’m pleased to announce the release of our brand-new Donor Confidence Report — conducted by trusted research firm Campbell Rinker.
The report includes key findings and updates on the current state of donor giving, as well as our takeaways and recommendations for the remainder of 2025.
While challenges persist, we see positive “upswings” in our report. Be encouraged: Donor confidence is steadily on the rise!
Key findings include:
- At 29% now, the share of Christian donors who expect to give more in 2025 than in 2024 is stronger than the 25% who planned to give more in September 2024.
- 11% of Christians felt they would give less in 2025, down from 15% in September 2024.
- 43% of Christian donors described their household financial status as somewhat or very challenging in February 2025. This is down from 49% in September 2024.
Other Notable Points:
- 67% of Christian donors said they would be somewhat or very likely to give to a cause or charity within the next 6 months. This is down from 71% in September 2024.
- 33% of Christian donors overall were somewhat or very likely to support a charity new to them within the next 6 months. This is down from September 2024 (40%).
- While inflation still influences giving decisions, its impact has fallen by half. Now, just 19% of donors who expect to give less in 2025 cite inflation as the reason. This was 11% for Christian donors, down from 15% in September 2024.

- Stay in front of your donors with consistent messaging across multiple channels.
- Take a long-term view in building donor relationships.
