“We must take a humble position in every situation. We must never brag about ourselves, and especially not of our goodness or special strength …
We can learn a lesson from babies. Babies own nothing. They treat diamonds and apples alike. Be a babe. Have nothing of your own. (It all belongs to God anyway!) Forget yourself. Give way on all occasions. Let the smallest be greater than you.”
—Fénelon (17th century French Archbishop)
My prayer this week: Help me embrace your calling in Matthew 18:3 to “turn from [my] sins and become like little children.” Fill me with humility and passion — not caring what I look like or who I’m impressing beyond you, my loving Heavenly Father.
