For nearly 40 years, we’ve had the privilege of partnering with some of the nation’s largest ministries with one goal in mind: Engaging the Body of Christ to fund Kingdom work.
Our History
Where It All Began
Dale Berkey provided development expertise to colleges and universities, while Doug Brendel worked as a copywriter for Christian TV personalities. The two of them met in Chicago, and soon recognized a common thread inside many ministries: The organizations needed help with fundraising.
God gave the partners an ability to help ministries succeed, with Dale mapping strategy and Doug providing creative work. Dale and Doug signed a paper-napkin contract in 1986 committed to three years of partnership, and thus “Berkey & Brendel” was born. Now 38 years later, with many dozens of ministries served, and millions of lives impacted worldwide, we give God all the glory for the way He’s worked through BBS’s growing staff of over 40 team members in service to Him.
